EMDR Therapy Training Graduates
The following professionals have successfully completed the required number of hours for EMDR Therapy training as prescribed by the EMDR International Association (20 hours of lecture, 20 hours of practicum, 10 hours of consultation) through The Institute for Creative Mindfulness program. Listing on this website verifies successful completion of the requirements, it does not imply direct endorsement by Dr. Jamie Marich or any of the team members training with the Institute for Creative Mindfulness.
Paula Lavocat, LCMHC, LCAS, NCC (she/her) is a native of the Buffalo, New York area and living in the Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina area since 2001. A graduate of the Institute for Creative Mindfulness EMDR Therapy Training Program, Paula is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, as well as EMDRIA Approved Consultant. She holds licenses in the State of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. Paula also holds board certification as a National Certified Counselor. She is contracted with a large group private practice where she serves as a Clinical Director and Clinician with a diverse caseload.
Consultant Specialties: Older adolescents/adults, complex trauma/PTSD, addiction (chemical/process/behavioral), perinatal trauma/maternal mental health, pre/post bariatric surgery, first responders, military/veterans, somatic and attachment-focused EMDR, integrating EMDR therapy into practice for trainees, general EMDR therapy practice issues.
