Melanie Gecili, LISW is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist in Ohio who is a graduate of the Institute for Creative Mindfulness basic training. Currently working under Dr. Layla Asamarai after completing her certification hours, Melanie is now pursuing becoming a consultant with ICM. She has developed a strong practice of EMDR using the AIR Network Model. She works with young adult and adult individuals with PTSD, Depression, various forms of Anxiety, “C-PTSD,” sexual addictions, and OCD. She works with clients who have experienced developmental trauma, and with clients who experience mild and/or moderate levels of dissociation. Developing an individualized approach to working with every individual is something Melanie takes great care and compassion in creating. She has a passion not only for helping her own clients, but also for helping other clinicians help their clients find emotional healing and freedom.
