Biography

EMDR and Somatic Therapist for Trauma, Anxiety, and OCD

Hi, I’m Brittany — a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania specializing in trauma therapy, anxiety treatment, and OCD therapy for women. I help high-functioning women who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck move toward clarity, balance, and long-term healing.

Many of my clients appear strong and capable on the outside but are carrying trauma, intrusive thoughts, chronic stress, or emotional exhaustion internally. My role is to provide a safe, grounding, and structured space where you can understand what’s happening in your mind and body — and begin to heal at a pace that feels right for you.

My Approach: Mind–Body, Evidence-Based, Trauma-Informed

I take a holistic, mind–body approach to therapy that honors the connection between your thoughts, emotions, nervous system, and lived experiences. While traditional talk therapy focuses on the mind, I integrate somatic therapy and movement-based processing when helpful to support deeper healing from trauma and chronic stress stored in the body.

My work blends:

  • EMDR therapy

  • Somatic therapy and nervous system regulation

  • CBT and I-CBT for intrusive thoughts

  • Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP) for OCD

  • DBT-informed skills for emotional regulation

Together, we create a personalized treatment plan that is clear, intentional, and aligned with your goals.

Clients often describe me as calm, steady, and supportive, with a style that feels both warm and structured. You’ll always know what we’re working on and why.

Who I Work Best With

I primarily support women navigating:

  • Trauma / PTSD

  • Childhood or relational trauma

  • Anxiety, panic, and high-functioning anxiety

  • OCD and intrusive thoughts

  • Chronic stress or burnout

  • Chronic illness or pain

  • Emotional disconnection or overwhelm

  • Major life transitions

I am especially passionate about supporting women who carry a lot of responsibility, internalize stress, or struggle silently despite appearing composed to others.

What You Can Expect

Therapy with me is collaborative, grounding, and paced intentionally. You can expect:

  • A safe, nonjudgmental space

  • Clear goals and treatment planning

  • Support for both mind and body

  • Gentle challenges that lead to growth

  • Evidence-based tools you can use in daily life

Whether you’re new to therapy or returning to the work, I’m here to help you feel more regulated, supported, and empowered.

A Bit About Me

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and dog, reading, traveling, attending concerts or comedy shows, and engaging in bible study. These practices help me stay grounded — something I bring into every session with clients.
