Biography

Narine Zilfugharyan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in individual, and group therapy and maintains a private practice in Fresno, CA. 
 
Narine Zilfugharyan has worked in an array of outpatient settings including community mental health clinics, public institutions, working with individuals diagnosed with psychiatric disorders, adolescents with emotional disturbance, and behavioral problems. Narine Zilfugharyan also heads the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups at Fresno County Behavioral Health. She provides ongoing guidance and supervision to students, interns, and clinicians, she heads DBT consultant team meetings in the community as well.
 
Narine Zilfugharyan is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are: DBT therapy for mood and anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, substance abuse, self-harm, suicide, addiction, and PTSD.
 
Narine Zilfugharyan has completed the 10-day Intensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy training through Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan’s training institute.
 
Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and teaching healthy coping skills that can help clients effectively resolve personal life challenges and replace maladaptive behaviors with adaptive coping skills.  With compassion and understanding, she works with everyone to help them to build her/his strengths and attain personal growth and build “a life worth living “.
Narine Zilfugharyan is a certified EMDR therapist and has got her EMDR training through The Institute for Creative Mindfulness.  She uses both treatment approaches to treat trauma, Stressorrelated Disorders.
