Biography

Hi! I am Angélica Figueroa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California. I am  Latina, bilingual, first-generation, Mexican-American female (ella/she/her). I  have lived in Los Angeles all of my life. I have more than ten years of experience providing individual and family therapy, as well as therapy to children.
I have worked in outpatient community mental health centers, integrated medical health centers, and have held my private practice since 2023. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and I am currently an EMDR Consultant-In-Training working with Jasmine Adams, LCSW, PMH-C.
My passion is to bring EMDR Therapy to marginalized communities (BIPOC, LGBTQIA+)  to specifically address and support the healing from complex trauma, generational trauma, oppression trauma, cultural stress, grief and loss, PTSD, and anxiety. Additionally, I provide EMDR therapy to persons seeking healing from Perinatal Mental Health trauma. I am currently working towards my PMH-C.
I help support other clinicians connected to and providing support to BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities as they work to bring EMDR Therapy to marginalized communities.

Consultation Rates

Individual consultation:

  • Rate: $50.00 USD for one hour of consultation.
  • Frequency of consultation: This depends on how many EMDR cases you have. I can do consultation weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
  • Limited availability for individual consultations. If you would like more information on individual consultations or schedule consultations, contact me via email raicesyhearttherapy@gmail.com

Group consultation:

  • Rate: $50.00 USD for two hours of group consultation.
    • If you would like to pay, up front, for the first 6 hours of group consultation the total will be $150.00.

EMDR Group Consultations are led by myself, Angélica Figueroa, LCSW, EMDRIA Certified Therapist, Consultant-In-Training. I am supported and guided by Jasmine Adams, LCSW, PMH-C EMDRIA Approved Consultant.  I received my foundational training in EMDR by the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. The BIPOC Group Consultations are for BIPOC Clinicians working with BIPOC clients. These consultations take place over Zoom and count toward your first 10 hours of consultation if you received your training through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. If you are working towards EMDR Certification, hours also count towards your 20 hours.
