Biography

I understand the anticipation and desire to find the right consultant as you pursue your EMDR certification. Trust me, I’ve been in your shoes and had the privilege of supporting many individuals as they navigate their paths toward their goals.

I’m Jevita, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Chicago, IL. I bring a wealth of education and experience, allowing me to support your growth in your EMDR practice and professional advancement.

With a solid educational background, including a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Clark Atlanta University, a Master’s of Social Work from Georgia State University, and a Master’s of Arts in Grant Writing Research and Evaluation from Concordia University, I have a solid foundation to provide comprehensive consultation.

As a Certified EMDR therapist and a Consultant in Training, Im dedicated to understanding how the body works and what we can do to support it best. Recently, I completed the Advanced Certificate in Dissociation Studies for EMDR therapists. This qualifies me to be Eligible to offer consultation in the Advanced Certificate in Dissociation Studies. My goal is to expand my expertise to assist those I serve better. Additionally, I am an advanced-level Somatic Experiencing Practitioner through SEI (Somatic Experiencing International). Lifelong learning is my jam.

As a clinician, I specialize in trauma therapy,  navigating attachment injuries, assisting individuals recovering from burnout, and supporting individuals through life transitions. Outside of being a clinician, Im a mommy of 3, wife, and private group practice owner.
