A few weeks ago I published a piece called “Let’s Stop Ethics Shaming Things We Don’t Like,” and I am delighted by the response it received. I naturally wanted my friend Dr. Steven Halady’s take on the piece, given that he is both a philosopher AND a clinical social worker. When our text thread started going back and forth, we both seemed to say, “Hey, we should record this conversation.”
And here you have it… a classic case of a philosopher and a minister walking into a bar. Only in this case, we’re discussing EMDR Therapy (our common thread that brought us together) and ethics.
Please feel free to share this interview widely in your communities, especially if you are a consultant or trainer.
And stay tuned—Steve and I are planning to offer the training that we initially workshopped during this interview on Friday, February 5, 2027, from 1:00pm–4:30pm ET, called Ethical Decision Making in EMDR Therapy: When the Answer Isn’t Obvious. If you want to take part in this discussion further and earn CE/EMDRIA credits for it, please click HERE.
As with all of my advanced topics trainings, sliding scale pricing is available.
